What is Pre-diabetes?

It is a condition in which a person’s blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

What is Type 2 Diabetes?

Type 2 Diabetes develops when a person’s blood sugar levels are higher than normal and their body does not use insulin properly. It is the most common form of diabetes. The most preventable and is highly associated with obesity.

CDC Data Statistics

According to CDC Data Statistics diabetes has affected over 29.1 million people and over 8.1 million do not know they have the disease. An estimated 86 million people have pre-diabetes and without treatment people with pre-diabetes are at risk for type 2 diabetes. They are more likely to experience adverse health conditions associated with diabetes.
